A 19-year-old Venezuelan migrant shot two cops early Monday when they tried to stop him as he was riding a motorized scooter, according to police and sources.

The officers had tried to pull over the teen, identified as Bernardo Castro Mata, after spotting him driving the wrong way down a street at 89th Street and 23rd Avenue in Elmhurst at about 1:40 a.m., police said.

The suspect quickly ditched the moped and fled on foot for several blocks, according to cops.

I presume he is an illegal immigrant!

Seems like he needs to be turned over to Immigration and deported with a never to return tattoo!

Zero tolerance for crime, especially gun possession, and firing at the police.

Argh!

He then charges at her and swings at another cop standing next to her before he is taken to the ground by that officer and at least one other person, the footage shows. 

Garcia, of Kingsbridge Heights, was arrested and charged with assault, obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, and harassment, police said. 

He has 11 previous arrests, law enforcement sources said.

Sorry, but NYC is officially out of control. 

I can somewhat see a low bail or ORO for a minor charge; second and subsequent arrests are REMAND!

Absurd to allow this lawlessness to go unpunished.

A judge won’t let a traveling firearms dealer carry a concealed weapon in New York City to protect himself and his wares from “criminals and terrorists.”

Cavalier Knight applied for a gun permit from the New York City Police Department in 2014. He went to court when the application was denied. He claimed the NYPD violated his Second Amendment rights.
But in a decision posted Friday, a judge rejected that claim while upholding New York’s tough gun control law, the New York Daily News reported Saturday.
