‘Drunk driver’ Jose Menjivar, who killed mom and her teenage son in a wreck, has three previous DUI convictions and was driving despite having his license pulled

  •     Melissa Powell and her teenage son Riordan died after being involved in a collision on December 12 in Broomfield, Colorado 
  •     Jose Menjivar has since been charged with DUI and vehicular homicide
  •     Previous court records have revealed that Menjivar has been convicted of DUI in the past and had his license revoked

A mom and her teenage son were killed in a car wreck and police have arrested the man they say was behind the wheel while drunk – a suspect who has three previous DUI convictions. 

On Thursday, Colorado’s 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced formal charges against Jose Menjivar, 37.

Menjivar is accused of causing a crash in Broomfield on December 12 that claimed the lives of Melissa Powell, 46, and her son Riordan, 16.

Seems like the price would have a BOLO on every DUI convicted driver.

Instead of random checkpoints pursue the repeat offenders.  Give them a special license plate, like the dealer plates that easily are put on and off, that say “stop me for a DUI check”!

Argh!

This is not the first time I’ve ranted about this topic.

The person who loaned him the truck should be prosecuted as well as an “accessory before the fact”. That person had to know him well enough to know he didn’t have license.

Furious Michigan town demands justice after cops kill beloved deer named Annie – as graphic video shows officer pinning doe and firing handgun

  •     Annie the deer was euthanized at a property in Lawrence, Michigan, on Friday after police arrived at the home for a separate incident 
  •     Graphic video shared on social media shows Annie wrestling with Officer David Loza who had slipped a lead around her neck before he can be seen shooting her 
  •     The death of the beloved animal has sent a shockwave through the community, prompting outrage from locals over the actions of Officer Loza

The officer manages to pin Annie while she is laying upside down, before pulling out a handgun and firing a single shot, the deer jolts before going limp. 

Under Michigan law, only licensed rehabilitators can legally possess wildlife – meaning families are banned from keeping wild animals as pets.

“What the monsters you last interacted with did to you was cruel, inhumane, and heartless.”

The police are not your friends. They were there for an unrelated mater and, for whatever reason, decided to kill the deer.

Remember someone loaded the Jews on the trains to the death camps. The police don’t “protect and serve” us!

Argh!

Interesting that the deer was “rehabilitated” just like the “law” intended.  Probably send the carcass to the dump.   

Who or what authorized Officer David Loza to kill the deer?
