TECHNOLOGY: Google Pay loses functionality permanently

First, starting on April 5th, the following features will no longer be available from the old app and at pay.google.com:

Ability to send, request or receive money
•
View of your recent activity or transaction history

That sounds like a pretty big change to me.

Guess google can’t compete with all the other ways to “send, request, or receive” money?

No impact to me, but maybe to Google’s Users of their phones?

Sending money to your friends and family is as easy as sending an email.  

This ties in Google Wallet to your Google Mail.

I recommend wallet as an easy and free / cheap way to transfer money around.

Recently, I cleared an advance in Iowa by a quick transfer from my phone.

Pretty neat.

The recipient was impressed.

Laugh. I just hate owing anyone anything. And love to play with technology. I think I’ll be using it more.
