Tina Peters’ Open Letter to President Trump from Prison One Week Before Her 70th Birthday

Guest post by Martel Maxim

    Dear, Dear Mr. President,

As I sit here in this cell (and notice I didn’t say “my cell” as nothing I have here is mine and can be taken at any time), I’m reminded to be grateful and how blessed we are as a nation, as well as how fragile liberty is.

I am grateful for the multitudes praying for you, this country, and I am humbled to say for me as well.

I long for the day I can be free to continue to fight for the foundation of our society:

    Free, fair, transparent elections.

One week from today on September 11th, I will be 70 years old. Never in my life of 35 years of marriage, a business owner for 32, home schooling my two children, with a Navy SEAL son and a marine husband, did I ever imagine I would end up in prison for following the law and doing what was right.

This should scare every citizen of this country. It shows how close we have come to losing this nation and our liberty that so many before us died to protect. But God chose you Mr. President, and each one of us that will rise up and answer the call.

Your good friend, Peter Ticktin, has requoted my standards for those that have once been close as a part of the story in my life. I’ve always said “if one could be swayed by four things: money, power, position, or fear, they can be compromised. What you do when no one is looking defines your character.”

When I used to speak to audiences about the globalists and compromised ones that wish our great nations demise, I would often say “everyone can do something. There are more of us than there are of them. They can’t get us all.”

One day when I was telling my story of not knowing if I would die from the lung cancer that took a third of my lung, I looked up to heaven and said “Lord, if this is my time I’m ready…but you know my prayer!”

I then repeated my life’s prayer to him which is:

“Don’t let me leave this earth until I’ve accomplished everything you sent me here to do.”

At that split second, I knew I was going to live. He has more for me to do. That was in 2016, the same year I walked door to door talking to anyone and everyone for you tirelessly from morning until night. And when it got dark outside, I’d be helping others on the phone calling for the vote.

As a business owner, I knew we needed you to become our president. I never wavered, even when there were 17 candidates. God has his protection over you, as you know, and we are all grateful you took his call. He prepared you for this, and he has prepared me for this.

Nevertheless, I’m ready to be released because the midterms are close. I feel like a racehorse held back by the starting gate. We don’t have much time. We cannot allow the continued selection of governors, secretaries of state, attorneys general, and fraudulent passage of blils and laws because of the voting machines I exposed. I want to finish the job we started.

I cannot allow Jena Griswold to be the attorney general of Colorado, or crooked Phil Weiser to be the governor, and many more need to be displaced in this state, country, and in many nations across the world because the voice of the people has been stolen.

The rally cry of God’s chosen people to stand up and step forward has never been greater.

Please set me free to champion that call to the people. Use my voice, the reason they put me in prison, to be the clarion call. I didn’t raise a Navy SEAL for nothing.

I love you, your family, and this great country.

    Thank you.

    Gratefully yours,

    Tina M. Peters

I think this lady has been “railroaded” by politicians and bureaucrats.  I chipped in.  Will you?

PEACE: Cynicism is the only sensible response to the Nobel Peace Prize

Trump and the not-so-noble Nobel
by Jeff Jacoby  —  August 19, 2025

Which is why it’s futile to get worked up over the Trump boomlet. If Oslo decides to indulge his lobbying and flatter his vanity, it will not mean he deserves the accolade any more than Obama deserved his prize in 2009 or Arafat his in 1994. It will mean only that the Nobel committee has once again done what it so often does: confused politics with principle. Trump’s critics will rage, his admirers will gloat, and history will judge the man by what he actually does, not by what the Norwegians proclaim. In the end, cynicism is the only sensible response to the Nobel Peace Prize.

At the risk of “pile-ing on”, I agree that BHO44, and whole host of others, don’t deserve what has become a “political powder puff”.

AI sourced a snarky quote about the French Revolution:

Ah, the French Revolution—proof that sometimes it takes a century or two to realize that chopping off heads doesn’t always lead to a better government. But hey, at least they had a great time with the guillotine!”

Wish it could have given the source.

Why don’t we see the “clay feet” of these supposedly great “peaceful” characters?

Maybe we just don’t give enough time for history to weigh in on their “achievements” or lack of them.

Maybe like saints, we need a devil’s advocate to mount an adversarial position.

I think most politicians and bureaucrats would be found “lacking”.

The last fellow I thought deserved recognition was Schindler as portrayed in the movie.  They are few and far between.

Sigh!

POLITICAL: Why does the USA fund the Israeli Gaza extermination?

Ok here’s a post that will probably offend about ½ the country, get me kicked off Social Media sites again, and get a lot of <synonym for excrement> from family, friends, and strangers.

BUT, (and there is always a BIG butt), here goes!

I am moved to almost tears  — and I’ve only cried real tears a few times in my life  — I’m not a “crier” or a “Karen” about most everything.  I try an emulate The Buddha, WWJD, and be the pessimistic optimistic (i.e. plan for the worst and be pleasantly surprised when it turns out better than expected) I think I am.  On most things, I figure “small stuff” “this too will pass” and “it could be a lot worse”.  I sit at my keyboard nearing the end of my adventure and “Face Life”.  Just like this blog’s title “Reinke Faces Life”.

This <synonym for excrement> in Gaza has got to stop.  Killing starving humans and inflicting savage trauma and death on little children has really gotten to my heart and soul.

While there is little I can do about it directly, other that sit and rant, I don’t intend to sit and let it go on without speaking up. Pastor Martin Niemöller spoke up when there was big price to pay.

Now I am a gun-owning pro-life pro-choice little L libertarian and think that the “system” is the problem.  But this has gone on too far and for too long.

The President DJT4547 can stop this with a stroke of a pen but seems to be unable to muster up the moral fortitude to say to Israel: “Stop!  The USA is not giving you another dime until it stops.”   (He could do the same with Ukraine but that’s a topic for another day!)

I have never been a fan of the US foreign policy for as long as I can remember.  The Christian Brothers, all vets from WWII and Korea, made me anti-war.  I remember the pro-Israel propaganda back when I first recognized it in the movie “Cast A Giant Shadow”.  Bit I also remember the USS Liberty being attacked by Israel and the US Gooferment didn’t say “boo”!①

Yes, I remember the atrocity of October 7th.  It was horrific.  But, when you have humans in box and are torturing men, women, and children, don’t be surprised when the “worm turns … … into a snake” and bites you.  When you back men into a corner, they will attack with savagery and mercilessness that will stun you.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? . . .” — Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Seems like Palestinians are a lot like the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto.

So starting today, I am going to annoy all the politicians and bureaucrats to stop funding Israel.

ENCOURAGING: A problem and a prescription to solve it (mostly)

Question for Trump to solve: Just how many million migrants did Joe let in? 8 million? 12? 15?
By Andrew Arthur
Published Nov. 13, 2024, 7:35 p.m. ET

*** begin quote ***

President-elect Donald Trump has promised to crack down on the southern border and deport those here illegally.

But the million-dollar question left by the Biden administration: Just how many people is that?

A recent House Judiciary report says that “For almost four years, Americans have watched as President Joe Biden and border czar Vice President Kamala Harris have abandoned the southwest border and welcomed nearly 8 million illegal aliens into the United States.”

But that 8 million is likely an undercount — and perhaps by a lot.

The House Committee on Homeland Security estimated in the spring that there would have been 10 million encounters during Biden’s four-year term. And that doesn’t include “got-aways” — people who crossed illegally without ever talking to a Border Patrol agent.

There are, meanwhile, all kind of “parole” and other programs the Biden administration used without Congressional approval to fly immigrants in directly from South America and other parts of the world.

*** end quote ***

OK, so the answer is “a lot”.  Some proportion are criminals or neer’do’wells,  While the rest are a mix of those seeking a better life or some who want to collect on the dole.

How do we differentiate who is a “Priority One Removal” and who don’t we really care about?

Fortunately some really smart people have some great ideas.

Expediting Deportation, Using Carrots and Sticks

*** begin quote ***

How do you deport the roughly twenty million individuals living illegally in the United States? For a lot of reasons, this will be a huge challenge, and likely a costly one – when was the last time the government did anything even remotely correct without it busting the budget?

Well, for one thing, you could try offering incentives for people to make their deportation easier than it might otherwise have been.

First, offer them an option. Go home on your own, and you will be eligible to apply for legal residency, along with anyone else who wants to come to America and who hadn’t broken our laws to get here.

*** and ***

What about the stick? Tell this same population that if the government has to take actions to deport them, they will have to wait for more than the current ten years before even getting to the end of the line for legal immigration, lengthening the time before they can return to America, but this time as legal immigrants.

*** end quote ***

And, the details outlined seem very reasonable.

Then DJT4547 and his team can focus on the criminals, welfare cheats, and sanctuary cities and NGOs.

I like this approach.  We’ll see how they tackle it.
