Our elite is not elite. Instead, it’s a bunch of bums who somehow got a little money and took the reins of power and are now shaking-down our great nation for every penny they can wring out of it. We owe them nothing – not respect, not gratitude and certainly not obedience.If you still wonder how we got Trump, just look around you. He’s a cry for help, a scream against the injustice we’re surrounded by. This injustice is poison to our country. This injustice is what makes republics fall apart, when the worthless ruling class pushes its contempt in the people’s collective face so hard and for so long that the population finally screams “The hell with this!”

Today is a day put aside for the service personnel of the Viet Nam Veterans Era, especially those who were in Viet Nam. .. to all “welcome home?…think of good memories and thank you for your service!
MY RESPONSE:
I was only in “the Era”; not out in the boonies. Those guys — mostly men — deserve a national apology to them and their families for what they brought home (i.e., the multi-generational harm of Agent Orange). Those are the real heroes.
And, let’s not forget those who never got to come home and those who went underground and to Canada to avoid being sent to the “meat grinder” for no good reason other than the hubris of politicians and bureaucrats. Thanks, Ike, JFK, Nixon, McNamara, and their ilk.
Makes me sad to think of my lost best friend and all those who came back “changed”.
And, my amazement is that “We, The Sheeple” have learned nothing from it. We have decades of constant war. Sending now young women, and men, into various “meat grinders” around the world for no good reason that I can determine.
Argh! If only we’d have elected Ron Paul, then we’d have a sane foreign policy. Instead of new KIAs, MIAs, WIAs, and broken Vets to regret creating.

John McCain, who has risen to political prominence on his image as a Vietnam POW war hero, has, inexplicably, worked very hard to hide from the public stunning information about American prisoners in Vietnam who, unlike him, didn’t return home. Throughout his Senate career, McCain has quietly sponsored and pushed into federal law a set of prohibitions that keep the most revealing information about these men buried as classified documents. Thus the war hero who people would logically imagine as a determined crusader for the interests of POWs and their families became instead the strange champion of hiding the evidence and closing the books.

For many reasons, including the absence of a political constituency for the missing men other than their families and some veterans’ groups, very few Americans are aware of the POW story and of McCain’s role in keeping it out of public view and denying the existence of abandoned POWs. That is because McCain has hardly been alone in his campaign to hide the scandal.
The Arizona senator, now the Republican candidate for president, has actually been following the lead of every White House since Richard Nixon’s, and thus of every CIA director, Pentagon chief, and national security adviser, not to mention Dick Cheney, who was George H.W. Bush’s Defense secretary. Their biggest accomplice has been an indolent press, particularly in Washington.

While “one should never speak ill of the dead”, in this case, we must recognize historical facts.
Aside from his role in the Keating Five of S&L scandal fame, who will ever forget him casting the vote to spite DJT45 on Obamacare.
These are the reason that the families of POWs and veteran’s organizations are not big fans of John McCain. Every month, in every American Legion hall across the globe, “our POWs a remembered”.
In DJT45’s style of “bull in the china shop”, he’s not exactly wrong. He just doesn’t lay out the factual case that once again the “American Gooferment” is not “veteran’s friend” like all the politicians claim to be.

Whether it’s gun policy, immigration, energy or censorship, the left has found a method of imposing its will that’s far more efficient than dealing with the American system of government, designed as it was to contain the worst impulses of political radicals.
