NJ Man Arrested for Unlawful Gun Possession, Breaks No Laws

With last year’s U.S. Supreme Court mooting the NYSRPC v. City of New York case and rejecting to hear a dozen other 2A cases — many of which dealt with the right to carry firearms outside the home — the legal issue of possession of firearms outside the home remains a battle. But if states like New Jersey wish to lean on the narrow provisions pronounced in Heller and McDonald, then they should not be allowed to arrest honest citizens for having arms within their residences as specifically protected under Heller and McDonald.

I’m not surprised.  It’s the bluest of blue states where the elite hates liberty.

Murphy took the steps after he said on Tuesday that New Jersey will follow “to some degree” new guidance released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that addresses one of the fastest-growing groups the Garden State: the fully vaccinated. NEWJERSEY: Murphy claims “separate staff”?

Monday, March 8, 2021

AMERICAN NEWS Mar 7, 2021 12:33 PM EST
NJ Gov. Phil Murphy passes the buck on decision to stick sick people in nursing homes
Phil Murphy, the governor of New Jersey, went on interview on Sunday and stated basically that “it’s tragic” but that the state government is not to blame for people getting sick and dying from COVID.

*** begin quote ***

“So it was not enough just to separate the residents, but to separate the staff. Did some operators not take our advice? It’s possible, and if they did, if they did not, they deserve to pay a price for that.”

As of this writing, we have not been able to directly verify the governor’s statements that they were insisting on separating staff as well as patients in nursing homes due to the pandemic.

*** end quote ***

Hope someone can confirm or deny this.  I sure don’t remember it.  I do remember them attacking the observant Jewish nursing home owner who’s rabbi counseled him not to let the sick back into his nursing home.

If the governor’s statement can not be confirmed, then he’s almost as bad as Cuomo.

NEWJERSEY: Some how I don’t think the MVC to USPS is “secure”

What happens instead? You’ll leave with a flimsy temporary 30 day license instead. Then you’ll wait for your actual license to be mailed to you. (What’s fun about that?)

They say they’ve partnered with Homeland Security. The new system is supposed to add more security against fraud. I’m not thrilled with the prospect of having a document as important as a driver’s license sent through the mail. I’m also not impressed with MVC’s track record of mailing important things such as suspension notices. How many times have we heard people never receiving the letter? Plenty.

Can you imagine the finger pointing that will go on.

NEWJERSEY: Murphy usurped the power of the legislature

So, when New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, for example, ordered the printing and mailing of 4 million ballots — one to every registered voter in the state — so as to enable individuals to choose to vote in person or by mail, he usurped the power of the legislature. Only a few New Jersey Republicans complained, but the Democratic-controlled legislature did nothing. Perhaps it has grown accustomed to Murphy’s governing by decree.

The legal challenge to Murphy’s latest authoritarianism will no doubt fail. That’s because the Supreme Court has consistently ruled this year that the mechanisms for voting are left to the states and any grievances about them are political. Stated differently, the court is telling us if we don’t like Murphy’s rules — or the rules of any state legislature or governor — we can vote them out of office.

*** end quote ***

And we should tell the court or courts that “vote the bums out” is virtually impossible in the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee.

So “We, The Sheeple” are hog-tied and screwed over time and time again.

‘I’M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!’ I want you to get up right now, sit up, go to your windows, open them and stick your head out and yell – ‘I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore!’ Things have got to change. But first, you’ve gotta get mad!… You’ve got to say, ‘I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!’ Then we’ll figure out what to do about the depression and the inflation and the oil crisis. But first get up out of your chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it: [screaming at the top of his lungs] “I’M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!” — the character Howard Beale played by Peter Finch in the movie Network (1976)

NEWJERSEY: Your License, Or Your Conscience?

Your License, Or Your Conscience? A Tale of the Pandemic
By Walter Olson

*** begin quote ***

The story of one man’s stand on principle and the patients who were saved, from Jewish family weekly Mishpacha via Ira Stoll:

Early on, a talmid called with a complicated question. As an operator of several nursing homes, he was being forced to accept residents who’d tested positive for the virus as they were released from hospitals that no longer wanted them. Despite the clear danger to their current residents and staff, the nursing homes were being given no choice.

Rav Shmuel told him unequivocally that to accept these patients was a form of retzichah, murder, since it put the other residents at serious risk. But then, on a conference call, the governor informed all nursing home operators that failure to accept the patients would mean losing their licenses.

The talmid called Rav Shmuel again. Lose your license, the Rosh Yeshivah ruled, but you can’t put your elderly residents in danger.

The nursing home operator listened to his rebbi.

Weeks later, he stood tall as the only major nursing home operator in the state of New Jersey who didn’t lose a single resident to Covid‐19.

*** end quote ***

Throughout history, there have been stories of courageous women and men, who have stood up for their conscience and, often, paid a terrible price up to and including their lives.

Here’s a example of one such hero.

And I don’t use that word as lightly as others in today’s society.

Guess like in the Olympics there are different tiers based on what you risk — your life like in opposing the Nazis, your health in many of the Dead Old White Guys in the American revolution, your freedom, your fortune, or anything like that.

I include the grocery store clerk who shows up for work and risks his life for a few bucks to survive.

Here’s a man who put his business at risk and stood afoul of a politician!

We’ll have to stand with him when he reprisals come from the tyrant.

NEWJERSEY: So “what officials envision” rules!

Seaside Heights Denies Application for New Bar on North End of Boardwalk
By Daniel Nee – August 12, 2020

A proposal to add another bar and restaurant to the Seaside Heights boardwalk at Kearney Avenue has been denied in an 8-0 vote by the planning board, keeping in line with what officials envision as a quieter, more residential north end of the boardwalk.

There’s no doubt that politicians and bureaucrats rule!

I would like the free market to operate.

Their vision sure isn’t mine.  And, since I’m not a full-time resident, I can’t even vote.  But they sure take my “tax” money and fees.

Argh!

NEWJERSEY: Gooferment “regulated” industries suck!

Friday, August 7, 2020

Public Information Officer Laura Connolly, New Jersey Office of Emergency Management AGENCY

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) continues to restore service to customers who lost power and has activated our retail water and ice program. For those customers remaining without power for 24 hours or more, JCP&L is offering free water and ice at the following locations beginning 8/5/20 at … …

*** end quote ***

Anyone else see a problem with Gooferment “regulated” industries?

If we have competing power companies, I would imagine that (1) “outages” would be few and far between; and (2) if we were dissatisfied, we could switch.  That’s why McD’s and BK strive for consistency nation-wide.

Here is 08751 we have the worst of all worlds.  The Gooferment’s “electric utility” contracts with JCPL for service.

During this storm, 22 townships were without power, but we couldn’t complain to JCP&L or the NJ “state Gooferment” BPU.

And, all the people could do was wait for restoration from “someone” “somewhere” “sometime”. Argh!

And “We, The Sheeple” just take it.  (As a G rated blog, I’ll leave it at that!)

NEWJERSEY: “King” Murphy must be dethroned!

Sunday, June 21, 2020

Tyler Durden Fri, 06/19/2020 – 23:40 Authored by Michael Lesher via Off-Guardian.org,

Growing up as I did in the Cold War, I still experience a special kind of shudder whenever I come across an anecdote like that of Katya Soldak, whose Soviet nursery school teacher once showed her class a photograph clipped from a Western newspaper, “depicting skinny [Russian] children in striped robes walking in a straight line.” The capitalists who printed that picture wanted people to think Soviet children were “treated like prisoners,” the teacher declared angrily, “when in reality the kids were on their way to a swimming pool in their bathrobes.” Which was a nice story (thought little Katya) — except that “I had never even seen a pool…. [T]hey existed in my mind as does an exotic animal or an unvisited city.” A time capsule from a remote dystopia?

*** begin quote ***

On June 4, New Jersey’s Governor Murphy issued his third consecutive extension of what was supposed to be a thirty-day “state of emergency” he had originally declared — unilaterally — on March 9.

What was the “emergency” this time around? In the governor’s own words: “there has now been a decrease in the rate of reported new cases of COVID19 in New Jersey, in the total number of individuals being admitted to hospitals for COVID19, and in the rate of reproduction for COVID19 infections in New Jersey.” Got that? New cases, hospitalizations, even the “rate of reproduction” for the virus are all on the wane throughout Murphy’s jurisdiction. (And have been for months.)

Yet in today’s Newspeak, that’s an “emergency” — enough to justify another month of democracy-free rule by executive fiat.

*** end quote ***

It seems that the various politicians and bureaucrats have become too big and powerful.

Only the indignation of patriots can put them in their place.

In HELL!

Vote them out.  Impeach them.  Where are Initiative, Referendum, and Recall when you need them?

Anyone remember Hands Across New Jersey and the McGrevey “toilet paper tax”?

Where are today’s patriots?

NEWJERSEY: His Royal Majesty Murphy’s diktats kill — figuratively and literally

Thursday, June 11, 2020

https://www.insidernj.com/insider-njs-morning-intelligence-briefing-6-12-2020/

“As a state, during Covid19, one of the great failures is that we lifted up corporations while crushing mom and pops, picking winners and losers – that is unacceptable.” – Senator Vin Gopal in a Facebook post on Asbury Park’s ordinance to allow indoor dining on Monday in defiance of the Governor’s executive order

# – # – # – # – #

I wonder how many post, clubs, and fraternal organizations who run small bar have been put out of business by His Royal Majesty Murphy’s diktats.

If “We, The Sheeple” don’t toss him out of office in the next election, then there is no hope and the name should be changed to the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee!
