“Money Is Gold — and Nothing Else”

Friday, May 4, 2018

This post “Money Is Gold — and Nothing Else” appeared first on Daily Reckoning . Following the Panic of 1907, John Pierpont Morgan was called to testify before Congress in 1912 on the subject of Wall Street manipulations and what was then called the “money trust” or banking monopoly of J. P. Morgan & Co. In the course of his testimony, Morgan made one of the most profound and lasting remarks in the history of finance.

Morgan: Not always. That is an evidence of banking, but it is not the money itself. Money is gold, and nothing else.

Congressman Proposes Banning Assault Weapons

Friday, May 4, 2018

“No one wants to take away your guns.” How many times have you been in an argument with a gun grabber and they uttered that very phrase? I’m not even talking about a variation of that phrase, I mean those exact words in that exact order.

Source: Congressman Proposes Banning Assault Weapons

*** begin quote ***

Instead, we should ban possession of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons, we should buy back such weapons from all who choose to abide by the law, and we should criminally prosecute any who choose to defy it by keeping their weapons. The ban would not apply to law enforcement agencies or shooting clubs.

*** end quote ***

Anyone have any doubt what the “Democrats” want to do?

Can you spell “genocide”?

Argh!

FEC hit with lawsuit over ignoring civil complaint accusing Clinton, DNC in election scheme ($84 MILLION in donations improperly distributed?)

Thursday, May 3, 2018

We need to turn this into a poster. That the Hillary camp did this, and to this point has gotten away with this is typical Washington/Clintonish corruption. On a pretty big scale though. Of course it does seem that the Clinton campaign was committed to “going big”. (From Fox News) “Based on publicly available FEC records, repeatedly throughout the 2016 presidential campaign, HVF would purportedly transfer funds to its constituent political committees, which included between 34 and 40 state parties,” reads a passage from a copy of the complaint. “On the very same day each of these transfers supposedly occurred, or occasionally the very next day, every single one of those state parties purportedly contributed all of those funds to the DNC.” The complaint filed against the FEC said previous reports showed a series of transactions in which the HVF disbursed contributions to its state party committee members — and they would receive the funds on the same day.

Socialism/Communism’s legacy of death, A list country by country

Thursday, May 3, 2018

These numbers seem about right. Socialism is about trying to create a heaven on earth. This is impossible. But people still try. However what happens when someone resists the socialist plan for heaven on earth? The answer: People are often just liquidated.

PBD: Substitute Veggies for Meat

Thursday, May 3, 2018

https://www.care2.com/greenliving/what-is-the-natural-human-diet.html

What Is the Natural Human Diet?

What can our nutrient requirements, metabolism, and physiology tell us about what we should be eating?

There are three broad theories about evolution and food. One is that humans have become adapted to grains and other products of the agricultural revolution over the last 10,000 years.

Two is the paleo view “that 10,000 years is a blink of an evolutionary eye, and that humans are adapted to paleolithic diets with a lot of lean meat,” but why stop there?

The third theory is that the last 200,000 years “is a minute of the evolutionary year” when we were mostly Stone Age humans and represents just the last 1 percent of the roughly 20 million years we’ve been evolving since our common great ape ancestor.

A New Type Of Poverty Is Crushing The Middle Class

Monday, April 30, 2018

As if the current global monetary system didn’t put the middle-class at a structural disadvantage versus the wealthy, by taxing them disproportionately with inflation, encouraging dissaving and taxing labor (ordinary income) much higher than capital (long-term gains), we now find out that the middle class has a new reason they’re being pushed into poverty: banks are willingly trying to put them there.

Apple’s latest strategic blunder with the death of AirPort It’s a pretty standard pattern. If Apple neglects a product line for five-plus years, it’s dead, Jim . And this one, we actually already knew about in 2016 . Still, it’s shockingly dumbfounding that Apple has officially killed off the AirPort product line.

Visualizing The World’s Other ‘Aging’ Problem

Sunday, April 29, 2018

While the world is becoming increasingly aware of the west’s looming (and current) demographic dystopia – solved in its globalist way via immigration and government-dependence – there is another ‘ageing’ problem that is potentially even more catastrophic…

“But, as Statista’s Dyfed Loesche shows in the infographic below, a lot of the currently still running reactors were connected to the grid in the 1980s, now 29 to 38 years old. “

France seizes France.com from man who’s had it since ‘94, so he sues

Sunday, April 29, 2018

Enlarge (credit: Bernard Van Berg / EyeEm ) A French-born American has now sued his home country because, he claims, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has illegally seized a domain that he’s owned since 1994: France.com . In the mid-1990s, Jean-Noël Frydman bought France.com from Web.com and set up a website to serve as a “digital kiosk” for Francophiles and Francophones in the United States.

Sunday, April 29, 2018

California thought they were onto something. Since they can’t seem to control guns, even though they really keep trying to, they decided to control bullets instead. After all, what could go wrong with that. Well, now the state is staring down the barrel of a lawsuit.
