High school seniors Luciana Tellez, Giselle Montano and Esmeralda Nava died Saturday night after their car was struck head-on on Interstate 5 in Yoncalla, Oregon.

Why can these types of crashes be prevented by good injineering (i.e., wrong way tire shredders at all entrances). If we had private roads, I bet they’d be installed already!

We should all be concerned about honey bees dying. Honeybees pollinate more than 100 crops , from apples to zucchini. The world has watched honey bees dying in the millions since 2006. Though there have been news reports concerning this crisis fro the last 12 years, a majority of people still aren’t tuned in to the actual scope of the situation.

Wondering about the idle green spots around and how hard would it be to establish colonies. Not for harvesting honey; just to create more bees.
Seems like a “johnny appleseed” type project.

I like the idea to just move yourself along a spectrum as you can. Right now my personal goal is to limit meat to only once a day. I give myself an extra “pat on the back” if, like yesterday, I can go without meat for a whole day. Sometimes it’s not really that hard. It’s all about developing your “tastes”. One doesn’t change one’s eating habits abruptly, UNLESS you have a heart attack or stroke. So why not try to avoid the catastrophe in the first place. Like Al Aiello taught me: “When you’re in a hole, stop digging.”

Interesting perspective. Is technology ruining us? I don’t think so. But it is changing us.

Mr. Peterson is spot on on so many things. It is an absolute pleasure to watch him dismantle his opponents. (One because he does so so respectfully.) He is a classical liberal who is standing up to the speech Nazis. He calls out the indoctrination centers in universities, and the graduates of these indoctrination centers are not happy that someone is exposing them.

Political correctness is fundamentally sexism and racism institutionalized to a very large degree. It is anti-thought. It is anti-reason. It is anti-intellectual. And it is anti-reality.
Have to say this is exceptionally perceptive. I never understood the whole PC thing. It’s what’s in people’s hearts; not their words.

Interesting that after our exchange about John McCain this podcast drops. It slaughters John “Tokyo Rose” McCain and makes him worse than “Hanoi Jane”. And to think he almost became President. So sad that “We, The Sheeple” have been so deceived.

Significant amounts of these defrauded tax dollars are being sent overseas to countries and organizations connected to entities known to fund terrorism,” Stillman wrote to his supervisors at the Minnesota Department of Human Services in an email on March 28, 2017, which was provided to the committee.

Healthcare/sickcare will bankrupt the nation by itself. If you want to understand why the U.S. healthcare system is bankrupt, financially, morally and politically, then start with this representative anecdote from a U.S. physician.

That’s the essence of the problem. The interests of the patient and the suppliers are not aligned. Like the fiduciary standard in the financial services industry, we need to realign the rewards.

This magical, monosyllabic exclamation applies to a whole slew of circumstances: Accidentally pulling on a push door; trying to flag down a waiter; realizing you were served the wrong dish; hearing a mildly juicy piece of gossip; realizing a car is coming when you’re about to cross the street; thanking someone for opening a door for you; feeling the first drops of rain. “Ope!” works for all of ‘em. It’s a way to announce your presence in the most passive, non-intrusive way possible. We’re too kind to say “Excuse me”—that can come off as pushy, right? Plus, given our near-sociopathic tendency to chat up strangers, any word longer than “ope” might get us unintentionally roped into conversation.

You may already have a good idea about whether your phone might get broken or be stolen before you’re ready to upgrade to a new phone. If you need the extra coverage, make sure you know all the details before you make your purchase or, when the time comes to use your insurance, you may be sorry.

I always thought almost any kind of “product insurance” was a scam.
Especially on any item that costs less than 200$.
You really have to self-insure anything below where it would hurt to have to replace on your own (i.e., home, auto, an “unbrella”).

The California Rifle and Pistol Association can, of course, appeal both cases. But everyone paying even the slightest bit of attention already knows what the outcome will be before the largely anti-gun 9th Circuit. And the Supreme Court will likely ignore the warnings from Justice Thomas and Justice Gorsuch and refuse to take the cases. This is how the courts, quietly, one case at a time, without a vote, are making sure the Second Amendment simply will not apply within the state of California.

No place in America for a religious bigot like this fool. Other countries have have religious wars. We don’t need that here. If a woman wants to cover, then that’s her choice. Jarvis responded by denouncing any commercialization of Mother’s Day, thinking any attempt to make money off of Mother’s Day – even if it was for a good cause – was wrong and not in the spirit of the thing.
