The vibrant, east Asian immigrant enclave of Flushing may be New York’s medical fraud capital.
A one-mile radius of the neighborhood boasts 77 Social Adult Daycares (SADCs), which bill Medicaid over $100 million a year, accounting for 14 percent of all daycare spending in the state, a Post investigation reveals.
When The Post visited some of largest — which are private businesses that have claimed between $20 and 40 million from Medicaid over the last six years — many storefronts were shuttered, and those that were open had empty rooms with no patients.

See what happens when something is “free” … …
… … the grifters come in and rob the Taxpayer blind.
Easy solution:
- Convict the scammers. Non-naturalized Citizens get long mandatory prison sentences; Naturalized Citizens get de-naturalized and deported, immigrants on visa get immediate deportation.
- Unindicted coconspirators, who allowed their identities to be used, get arrested and fined in line with their income.
- Unindicted coconspirators, who profited by referring people into the scam, get arrested, fined, a week in jail, and maybe a slap on the wrist.
- Prevent the problem by having participants buy a “Social Adult Daycare” membership. When the operator submits the paperwork, they get their money back in their next Social Security check.
- Goes without saying that the scammers, running the scam, lose all their assets. Over and above their ill-gotten gains! That’ll put a little salt on their wounds. And, don’t this their family members weren’t involved. No hiding assets. No bankruptcy protections. Unleash the IRS to Audi everyone. Scammers, that are caught, not their first rodeo.
