I received what can only be described as a hideous and blatantly racist e-mail today from an organization called Right v. Left, which is launching something called exposeobama.org and plans to run something it is calling a “Horton” ad. You know, “Horton,” as in Willie Horton.
The rhetoric of the e-mail is rather ugly and I’ve gone back and forth over whether I should share any of it. But I think it is necessary so that everyone understands the kind of ugliness that still exists in the hearts of too many Americans.

TO WHICH I REPLIED:
My only observation is that your beloved Democratic Party is no better. One only has to look at their tactics closely. Oh, but I forgot, since their motives are as pure as the driven snow, their failings are excusable. But the hated Republicans are not.
Sorry, to tell you that politics, as practiced by both sides of the same coin, is a sham. Designed to give the illusion of choice.
That’s why there is no true anti-war candidate left in the race other than the now marginalized Ron Paul. That’s why there is no one to address the many other wars we are supposedly fighting — war on drugs, poverty, etc. etc. That’s why there is no one addressing the core issues that are plaguing our society — national debt, unbalanced budget, run away spending, entitlements, taxes, education, employment, global competition, the debasement of our dollar, captive regulation, and the current incest between the gooferment and industry.
No instead, they have us, divided, bickering over trivialities and externalities.
You fell for it.
Do you really think that any of these three candidates is Presidential material?
No, the powers that be, like the choices, just fine. There will be no change to the country and that suits the entrenched interests just fine.
All the sheep should just keep watching the circus as we hurtle towards oblivion.
