I heard from an old military buddy from a long time ago. (He found me.) But it points out how bad the inet is for establishing identities and finding people. Any suggestions? I ran into the same problem with old high school chums. Unless they are looking for you, it’s nearly impossible to look for them. So where are you — David Robles, Robert Bob Wotring, and Bill Chrin? Also in the class was Army Captain Profitt, the “old” Army Major, and the “young” Marine Major, and the CID guy. teaches me how stupid i was not to keep better notes, pictures, and such. Sigh!

Sawadee, Khun John!
This is Bob Wotring, from the “Terrible Thai 5”.
I landed in St. Louis after the war, got into programming, migrated into IT Project Management, and now I’m contracting at AT&T.
I raised a son and two daughters, have two grand-daughters and a new wife. Ex-wife turned out to be the she-spawn of Beelzebub. But hey! Life is good.
I saw your name on the web a few years ago, but your link was gone and I couldn’t get in touch.
How are you, and what has happened in your life?
I haven’t heard from Dave Robles, Bill Chrin, Russ Scranton (remember him?) or anybody else from the thai class. Captain Bill Proffit, the “Old” Army Major whose name escapes me, Lt. Col. Jerry P. MacDonald (USMC), CID Ron Johnson “the fly”, or that guy from the Peace Corps who tried to sell us his Ferrari before he left for Thailand.
I did run across one of the guys who I met over in the Phillippines, at Clark AFB. But you wouldn’t know him.
Great to hear from you. Drop a line!
Bob
