Unfortunately, since 1844, these inappropriate and offensive words of ’idiot’ and ‘insane’ have been used to refer to people with disabilities in the State of New Jersey’s Constitution.

Now we can have a few jokes about anyone who votes in New Jersey IS an idiot suffering delusions that anything is going to change.
Now that the laughter has died down. I urge a “no” vote.
I’m in a snit. We don’t have Initative and Referendum that everyone promised us. We have a State Supreme Court that says our votes don’t matter. And we have a corrupt gang calling themselves “government” that thumbs their nose at us voting themselves ever richer portions of the public treasury.
So, “no”, “no”, “no” … and I’m going to hold my breath until I turn blue.
This is meaningless. And they let us vote on that! “barbara streisand”
Argh!
Just vote against incumbent politicians and “no” on everything.
Stop cooperating with the gooferment’s nonsense.

three referendums to steal our money and one to increase the democrat voter base…NO it was!

Too bad they can’t have a referendum that would prevent idiots and insane people from being ELECTED.

I just found this article via google, looking for opinions on Public Question #4, and it turns out I mostly agree with you politically, and will even be voting for most of the same people in Tuesday’s election. That said, I currently disagree with you on #4.
I believe that sanity is defined largely by the majority. Many practices of our federal government and their approval by the citizens (war on drugs, travel “security”, no fly list) are considered to be sane, and many of my strong beliefs are considered insane by the majority (pro-2nd amendment, pro-10th amendment, pro-neutrality). Do those who share my beliefs fall under the law barring the insane from voting?
The sane answer, is of course, “no.” But can we ever expect sanity from government?
