On November 6, 2007, New Jersey voters will be asked to approve the Green Acres, Farmland, Blue Acres and Historic Preservation Bond Act of 2007. By authorizing the state to issue $200 million in bonds, the Act would provide much-needed funds to keep the state’s open space, farmland and historic preservation programs afloat for one more year.
You can decide the future of our state’s preservation efforts by voting yes on November 6th and spreading the word about public question #3. We need your help to preserve New Jersey’s parks, natural areas, clean water, farmland and historic treasures.

Now if the politicians want to give us green space, then let them organize a charity and tin cup for funds. It makes no sense to me to run people out of the state by artificially making real estate more expensive.
Unless you’re one of the “landed gentry” who support the gang in DC, Trenton, and locally. Then, Green Space makes perfect sense. Don’t put your own money at risk. Let the taxpayer pay. So they use our stolen funds to overpay for the local toxic dump and they reap the rewards. We get to pay the taxes and the higher costs. Dumb!
And, what about the “poor” folks who can’t afford “green spaces”? They pay or else. Senior citizens on fixed incomes. The squeezed middle class. The poor. We all play through the nose in hidden and not so hidden costs of “green space”.
Another problem that gooferment creates and then rides in to “save” us.
Argh!
I urge a “no” vote.
I’m in a snit. We don’t have Initiative and Referendum that everyone promised us. We have a State Supreme Court that says our votes don’t matter. And we have a corrupt gang calling themselves “government” that thumbs their nose at us voting themselves ever richer portions of the public treasury.
So, “no”, “no”, “no” … and I’m going to hold my breath until I turn blue.

“Lets completely build-out NJ to keep the property value lower” ???
How about “Lets preserve the precious little untouched forest for the future of our children and all mad kind”
And hey- while your at it – Vote YES to #2, stem cell research, just in case one of your children’s children breaks their back or needs an organ replaced – they really would love to walk again or live. Stem cell research promises hope for these people (and no babies need to be killed to do it people – go read)
