Disney is trying to have a widower’s wrongful death lawsuit dismissed and sent to arbitration because the man had signed up for a Disney+ account several years ago.

Jeffrey J. Piccolo sued Disney Parks and Resorts in February, months after his wife, Dr. Kanokporn Tangsuan, died after she consumed food containing allergens at a restaurant in Disney World.

Piccolo said in his complaint that he, his wife and his mother went to dinner at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at the resort in Orlando, Florida, on Oct. 5. They asked several times whether Tangsuan’s allergies could be accommodated, according to the complaint. Despite the server’s having assured them, Tangsuan had a severe allergic reaction and died at a local hospital, the complaint said.

“Let’s kill all the lawyers” is a line from William Shakespeare’s Henry VI, Part 2, Act IV, Scene 2. The full quote is: “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers”. It is among Shakespeare’s most famous lines.

First, the suit is only for 50k.  If I was on the jury, I’d question the number of zeros.  Some one made a clerical error. She’s a doctor.

Second, the Disney lawyer is trying to use an obscure factoid to absolve the restaurant of liability.

Third, the couple, knowing that she was at risk, should have been more careful.  To the point, eating out should not be a “game” of Russian roulette.  A substantive penalty should alert all restaurant operators to the risk; their insurance companies should price the risk accordingly,

RANT: Yet Another “news story” for my “Who Cares” wastebasket

Meghan Markle plans to expand on royal struggles in explosive tell-all memoir: report

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, previously revealed she had battled suicidal thoughts during life as a royal in the UK, and briefly touched on her experience again earlier this month.

# – # – # – # – #

Right alongside Captain Obvious, we need a “Who Cares” wastebasket.

I don’t.  Leave these “news stories” for the English presstitues like the Daily Mail or the Guardian.

Nor do I care for old women showing off their bodies. At least young women have something entertaining for soft pron. All the women have the same assets; some surgically enhanced.

Show me the women and men who are doing heroic or admirable feats of humanity.  Like the lady who planted a barren field with a humongous number of trees.  Or the young boy who build a windmill to irrigate the family plow and save them from starvation.  Or the man who prevent several hundred suicides by being on watch.

That’s news that is newsworthy.

RANT: Punish the bureaucrats who screwed this up — both tactically and strategically

Family of Brian Terry reacts after 9th Circuit overturns murder conviction
By Sharyl Attkisson | August 12, 2024

The following is from the Brian Terry Foundation.

More than 13 years after the murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, Terry’s family is still seeking justice, and the U.S.-Mexico border remains in crisis.

Late Friday, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the conviction and life sentence of a man found guilty of killing Brian Terry in 2010. Terry’s death exposed a botched federal gun operation known as “Fast and Furious,” and brought into focus the national border crisis.

Brian Terry’s uncle Ralph Terry said, “In more than a decade so little has changed. Our fight to seek justice for Brian is ongoing, at the same time our border security has worsened. This toxic combination led to the death of my nephew and sadly lessons have not been learned. As our current political leaders have turn a blind eye to the situation, they have empowered smugglers and drug cartels more than ever.”

The court in vacating the convictions of Heraclio Osorio-Arellanes August 9th, claimed his constitutional due process rights had been violated, sending the case back to the U.S. District Court in Arizona

Sorry, but the politicians and bureaucrats responsible for this got off scott free.

And, the bureaucrats, who screwed up the conviction, get no punishment?

We, the Taxpayers, get to keep on paying!

RANT: Biden needs to fire some people

Wednesday, July 10, 2024

https://www.hollywoodintoto.com/michael-moore-trump-was-right-about-this-one-thing/

FROM MICHAEL MOORE:

“Trump was right — I know, there’s words I’ve never spoken — Trump was right when he turned to Biden to ask him what his problem was as to why he never fires anybody,” Moore said. “It’s amazing to me how a week later now, anyone on this campaign staff still has a job! How is that possible?!”

I agree with him and DJT on that point.

RANT: Russian missile barrage hit a children’s hospital? Could it have been a false flag?

Tuesday, July 9, 2024

FROM 1440 NEWS

Good headline but text “Russian missile barrage” was bad. Could it have been a false flag? Remember Ukraine shot a missile into Poland and blamed Russia. The timing is too convenient and the Russians have been extremely careful about what they hit and very circumspect about firing back.

I’d say the facts are not yet fully known to assign blame.

IMHO

Missiles Strike Ukraine

At least 36 civilians were killed and more than 100 wounded across Ukraine after a Russian missile barrage hit multiple targets yesterday, including the country’s largest children’s hospital in the capital of Kyiv. The daytime attack is considered the heaviest single-day bombardment in the last four months of the Russia-Ukraine war, which is now in its 29th month (see updates).

Ukraine’s air defenses shot down 30 of the 38 missiles, with officials saying the weapons consisted of aerial, ballistic, and cruise missiles (see the difference). At least 50 civilian buildings were damaged across central and eastern Ukraine by Russia’s airstrikes. The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting today to address the strikes.

Russia’s latest attack comes as Western leaders will meet in Washington, DC, today to kick off a three-day NATO summit. The agenda includes discussions over Ukraine’s potential membership in the military alliance and a new support package.

Ukraine Bombs Its Own Children’s Hospital and British Journal Says Palestinian Death Toll is Astronomical
8 July 2024 by Larry Johnson

*** begin quote ***

This is a ten on both the hypocrisy and propaganda scales. Check it for yourself. Do an internet search on the following — “Ukraine strikes Sevastopol.” Only cursory coverage. No blaring headlines in the NY Times or Financial Times or any other major paper. Ignore it. But this? Intense coverage.

Only one problem with the story — it is BULLSHIT. The children’s hospital was hit by an errant air defense missile fired by Ukraine. Whoops! What is really telling is that there was ZERO news coverage of the other sites hit by Russian missiles in Kiev. You know why? Because they were military targets and there were probably Western casualties. Russia delivered this blow in daylight during working hours in order to inflict maximum casualties on those engaged in producing or repairing weapons.

Ukrainian authorities also lied about the number of Russian missiles shot down. The Ukie Air Force claimed it downed 30 of 38 Russian missiles. Check out the following videos. You can see at least five successful Russian missile strikes in Kiev, including some secondary explosions, which normally are associated with a weapons storage facility. (We’ll see how long YouTube allows the first video to stay online. I will also post on BitChute.)

RANT: Isn’t “double booking” a fraud?

Bizarre moment lawyer is kicked off Avianca flight from Colombia to LA after seat he had purchased three months prior was sold to a mother flying with two children

By Adriano Torres, Dailymail.com

Published: 17:01 EDT, 25 June 2024 | Updated: 17:55 EDT, 25 June 2024

*** begin quote ***

A lawyer held up a flight for almost an hour after he discovered that the airlines company Avianca had overbooked his seat.

The passenger, who identified himself as Juan Manuel in a recent video chat with the TikToker who filmed the incident, had purchased a roundtrip fare from Bogotá, Colombia, to Los Angeles before he was shocked to find out that there was a child sitting in his seat.

Manuel recalled arriving two and a half hours ahead of his trip at El Dorado International Airport for the first leg of his journey, before making a connection in El Salvador.

*** end quote ***

This is far from uncommon.  In this day of technology, we were better off when the airlines did manual seat assignment with peel off stickers.  Yes, I am that old.  When you should up to the gate, you got your sticker assigning the seat.  When they ran out of stickers, you were out of luck.  Never heard of any problems.

RANT: Rich Missouri couple fined for poisoning Maine neighbor’s trees blocking the view

Maine vacation home owners who poisoned trees obscuring stunning ocean views from their $3.5 million property are threatened with prosecution

A wealthy CEO who improved the sea-view from her $3.5million Maine vacation home by poisoning her wealthy neighbor’s trees faces fresh criminal investigation after paying $1.7 million in fines and settlements.

Amelia Bond secretly sprinkled four pounds of the lethal herbicide Tebuthiuron on trees belonging to Lisa Gorman in 2022, before offering to pay for their removal when they started dying.

Bond, former head of the $500 million St Louis Foundation, has since paid $1.5 million in compensation to Gorman after tests revealed her ploy.

Argh!

I think that just a fine is not enough.  Time to teach these folks a lesson.  I’d bar them from the State until the trees grow back.  Maybe some jail time in Missouri, or Haiti might teach them a lesson.  Throw the book at these entitled fools.

A 19-year-old Venezuelan migrant shot two cops early Monday when they tried to stop him as he was riding a motorized scooter, according to police and sources.

The officers had tried to pull over the teen, identified as Bernardo Castro Mata, after spotting him driving the wrong way down a street at 89th Street and 23rd Avenue in Elmhurst at about 1:40 a.m., police said.

The suspect quickly ditched the moped and fled on foot for several blocks, according to cops.

Seems like he needs to be turned over to Immigration and deported with a never to return tattoo!

RANT: Once again Im forced to agree with Piers Morgan — trans athletes deserve tehir own category

Opinion
It’s time to stop the unfair, unequal madness of trans athletes destroying women’s sports
By Piers Morgan
Published May 20, 2024
Updated May 20, 2024, 1:17 p.m. ET

*** begin quote ***

It was like watching Usain Bolt compete in the women’s 200 meters and annihilating current world champion Shericka Jackson.

He’s run it in 19.19 seconds, while Jackson’s fastest time is 21.41, over two seconds slower.

That’s not because Bolt is a “better” runner, it’s because he has a bigger, stronger, faster male biology, which is why the sexes are separated in athletics.

And that’s why it’s so unfair for trans athletes to compete against women.

World Athletics has already concluded this and barred them, but many lower-level US sports bodies have been shamefully slow to follow.

Why?

*** end quote ***

Sorry, but it is essential unfair to have men compete against women in athletics.

Unless we handicap them like in horse racing …

Argh!

As much as I hate to agree with Piers, when he is right, he is right.

Seems so simple.
