Obama’s Disdain For The the Constitution Means We Risk Losing Our Republic

The most important point is that Mr. Obama does not consider himself bound by the Constitution. He could not have made that more clear. He has drawn a line in the concrete and we cannot ignore it. Those who currently hold political office, and who want to keep our system of government, need to act now. Surely, rejection of the Constitution is grounds for impeachment and charges should be filed. In addition, there are many other actions that Congressmen can and should take—actions that will tell Mr. Obama that we have seen where he is going and we will not let our country go without a fight. At the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, Benjamin Franklin was asked what form of government had been created. “A republic,” he replied, “if you can keep it.” We are losing it. If Mr. Obama’s reach for unprecedented power is not stopped, that will be the end. Everyone who values his life and liberty should find some way to say “No!” “Not now!” “Not yet!”

Unfortunately, BHO44 is a “true believer”. It’s yet to be seen of all the opportunists will follow him down the road to Perdition.

The Constitution enshrines the power of impeachment in the minority party.

To muster the needed votes, the majority must essentially ask the minority: “Really, seriously, you agree with this?”

Then and only then can the most powerful man in the world be rebuked.

We’ll see.

But based on Pelosi and Reid, I would not hold out much hope.

The particular “Titanic” is going down hard!

The announcement also comes just three days before the White House promises HealthCare.gov will provide a smoother enrollment experience for most users trying to purchase individual and family coverage. Fixing the problems with the individual market has been the White House priority.

It’s even worse than a jammed website, canceled policies, and rising policy prices. The policies may also not be what they seem.

In the first place, exchange policies typically restrict the hospitals and doctors you can use. In New Hampshire, for example, 10 of the state’s 26 hospitals are excluded from exchange policies and this takes out all the doctors affiliated with those hospitals as well.

That’s bad enough, but there is worse. In many of the policies, doctors will be paid significantly less than what private insurance has previously paid or that would be paid in other private policies sold outside the exchanges. This means that if you lose your doctor because he or she is no longer included in the policy coverage, you will not only find your doctor choices limited. You may also find that the doctors who are included don’t want your business.

Bernard has been the called the Rosa Parks of the alternative money movement. More than 10 years ago, he had this idea that he would make his own money — not the fake stuff we are used to, but the real stuff made of actual silver. He called his currency the Liberty Dollar (and why not, since there is no trademark on the word dollar?).

The feds raided him in in 2006. In 2007, the government outright stole 2 tons of coins from him, many of them featuring an image of Ron Paul, plus 500 silver coins and 50 gold coins. They threw him in jail and dragged his name through the mud many times.

He was later convicted of making counterfeit coins — an ironic conviction given that he was making silver coins to compete with official coins made out of scrap metal. That conviction was in March 2011, fully 2½ years ago. The government labeled him a “domestic terrorist.” Yet — and this is what amazed me — he still hasn’t been sentenced. He walks around as free as you or me.

It’s all about keeping the Sheeple sleeping.

I bought Liberty Dollars.

As a hedge.

The two silver discs are a little tarnished, but retain their value.

I forget what I paid for them but they have “held” their value.

The only mistake Bernard made was to put the word “dollar” on them. 

(Even though it’s not a restricted term.)

He should have just stuck to the weight.

But they are no more “counterfeit” than they are “worthless”.

The move, which will affect all IBM retirees once they become eligible for Medicare, will relieve the technology company of the responsibility of managing retirement health-care benefits.

I foresee litigation.

Unless the politicians and bureaucrats give the Crony Capitalists a “free pass” because it is a big boost to their plan for “single payer socialized medicine”. 

In any event, the “Age of the Golden Watch” when paternalistic companies could be trusted with the best interest of valuable employees. Foolish meme at its heart. But, if I was an IBM employee, or potential IBM retiree, the hand writing is on the wall.

Yes, the new employment meme should be “Every person for themselves!”.

Cause NO ONE — not your employer, not the folks you buy from, not the politicians — NOBODY is looking out for YOU, but YOU!

I had thought they’d hire the guy to be in charge of their Canadian roll out.

I, personally, don’t like Trader Joes. It’s like a yuppie 7-11 with prices to match.

Here’s is another reason to ignore them.

“This is the part of the show where I dispense a little of what I call rough justice!” … attributed to Judge Marilyn Milian, but may have an earlier history.

I’d urge everyone to give Trader Joes a little “rough justice”. Just skip the place and you’ll save yourself some money too.
