Sorry but this is just yet another example of waste in the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee.

NEWJERSEY: How does Gym Owner Defying Gov. Murphy get his rights, life, and stuff back?

New Jersey Court Throws Out 80 Charges Against Brave Gym Owner Defying Gov. Murphy’s Tyrannical Lockdown Orders: “Suck My D—k Phil Murphy”
by Jim Hᴏft May. 19, 2024 10:01 pm

*** begin quote ***

Ian Smith, co-owner of Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, New Jersey, has achieved a monumental victory. A New Jersey court has dismissed all 80 charges against him, charges that stemmed from his bold decision to reopen his gym in direct defiance of Democrat Governor Phil Murphy’s tyrannical COVID-19 lockdown orders.

The saga began in May 2020, when Smith reopened Atilis Gym, challenging the Murphy administration’s mandates, which he and his supporters argue are unconstitutional and detrimental to small businesses.

The confrontation escalated in July 2020 when police officers forcefully arrested Smith after he continually violated the state’s shutdown orders.

It’s not fair for the Taxpayers to have to reimburse him for his losses.  Murphy should be personally responsible!

Let’s really put some teeth in this ruling!

NEWJERSEY: Say “no” to taxes for and due to illegal immigrants

Blue State Nowhere Near the Border Is Having to Shell Out Billions Due to Illegal Immigration, Report Finds
Jason Hopkins, Daily Caller, May 8, 2024

*** begin quote ***

A report conducted by a New Jersey lawmaker found that illegal immigrants are costing taxpayers well over $7 billion per year.

New Jersey Republican assemblyman Paul Kanitra released the “Report on the Cost of Illegal Aliens to New Jerseyans” on Tuesday, which gives a comprehensive breakdown of how many illegal immigrants are residing in the state, its costs to taxpayers, and the current state of the border crisis.

Kanitra’s office estimated that, as of April 2024, there were roughly 894,000 illegal immigrants in New Jersey. Out of a state of just under 10 million, this would equate to nearly 1-in-1o New Jersey residents being an unlawful immigrant.

*** and ***

ltogether, Kanitra’s office concluded that New Jersey residents are paying $7.3 billion annually to cover the cost of illegal immigrants.

We can’t afford illegal immigration anymore than any place in the USA can.

Time to do a Nancy Regan and “Just say no”!

NEWJERSEY: Remember the infamous movie Nazi demand: “Your papers!”

🚗 New Jersey may make it easier to complete in-person transactions at the MVC

🚗 The changes would impact REAL ID in New Jersey

🚗 Legislation would let you leave with your license, instead of waiting for it to be mailed

On the long list of frustrations many have with New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle Commission, not leaving with what you went there is for is near the top.

If you make an in-person appointment for a REAL ID driver’s license, for example, you won’t be able to take it with you when you leave.

*** end quote ***

Personally, I see no need for “real id”. Why the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerzee is cooperating with the Federal Gooferment makes no sense. Maybe people will remember the infamous movie Nazi demand: “Your papers!”. Time to push back on intrusive Gooferment. Not like id is required to vote!

Did You Know About These 5 Stupid Laws in New Jersey
Sue Moll (for WOBM)

#1 – It’s illegal to frown at a New Jersey Police Officer

*** end quote ***

Aside from the fact that it probably violates the First Amendment, which arguably because of the “incorporation doctrine” of SCOTUS,  it trivializes what police officers have to endure.  It the worst is a “dirty look”, I am sure that that all cops would rather face that then a weapon in some crazy or drugged up person.

Also, I really object to using the word “law” for anything that the Gooferment at any level does.  The word “Law” is for things decreed by the Universe, or I dare say God.  The Law of Gravity, the Law of Unintended Consequences, or even the Law of Karma.  Those are real laws.

We should use the word “diktat” for what the Gooferment pretends is a “law”.  It would be so much more honest. The Gooferment co-opts words like “voluntary compliance” for income tax, “contribution” for social security, or “welfare” aka freedom to starve.

And, finally, we should recognize that social norms  — stop at a red light, yield to pedestrians, and hold the door for others  — are for our own good and ensure that we have a safe society,

Argh!

88 in a 45 – Lakewood, NJ teen charged in fatal crash

Dan Alexander  — Published: April 4, 2024

  • The impact sent Brotsky’s vehicle spinning backwards several times

LAKEWOOD — A teen was charged with vehicular homicide after police say he drove 88.6 mph in a 45 mph zone and hit a car that was making a left turn.

Aryeh Bakst was driving a 2023 Tesla sedan west on West County Line Road around 9 a.m. on March 3.

Surveillance video of the crash posted by The Lakewood Scoop shows the Tesla slamming into a 2013 Toyota Corolla driven by Jules Brotsky, 82, of Lakewood, who making a left turn onto Laurelwood Avenue from the eastbound lanes.

The minivan spun backward several times down the road while the Tesla hit a utility pole.

Where and in what world does a “teenager” get a Tesla to drive?

Now we all drive a little faster than speed limits, but 88 in a 45 is more than just a little.

At what point does this become murder?

And who ever put this car in the hands of a teenager has some culpability as well.

Time to throw the book at all involved.

NEWJERSEY: Don’t we “license” teachers?

Teachers With Sex Abuse History Still Get Hired In NJ, Report Says

  • Teachers with a substantiated history of sexual misconduct are still able to find work in other schools, according to a new state report.

Nicole Rosenthal
Posted Thu, Mar 7, 2024 at 11:38 am ET

*** begin quote ***

NEW JERSEY – A 2018 law created to stop teachers with sexual misconduct and child abuse histories from being hired by other school districts is “rife with weaknesses and deficiencies,” a new state investigation found, and still allows problem educators to hide their past misconduct from their employer schools.

The report, published Tuesday by the State Commission of Investigation, found that problem educators have too much leeway in deciding what information about their past to report to a prospective employer and school officials can misinterpret rules or simply cover up allegations and findings of sexual misconduct after an educator leaves their district. There also isn’t a state agency tasked with ensuring schools and educators are in compliance, nor is there a standardized process for reporting and verifying information about educators with histories of abuse.

*** and ***

New Jersey’s so-called “Pass The Trash” law was signed in April 2018 and mandates school officials notify other school districts about teachers with documented sexual misconduct and other abuse cases. Under the law, schools are required to determine if a candidate was under any past investigations for sexual misconduct or child abuse; schools where the incidents took place must also respond truthfully to districts seeking to employ the same teacher.

*** and ***

“For years, teachers and school employees in New Jersey who engaged in sexually inappropriate conduct with a student were able to move to other school districts by quietly entering into confidential settlements with their employers that kept their past misdeeds secret.” the report adds. “Numerous reforms are necessary to make the law more effective and less prone to abuse.”

*** end quote ***

It would seem that the local BoE’s politicians and bureaucrats are failing to have the police investigate ALL complaints.  If warranted, criminal charges should be filed and the teacher’s license suspended.  If convicted, revoked … … permanently.

We see how ineffective drivers’ license revocation is in stopping serial DUI offenders, but, with teachers’ license, it’d be easy to keep them out of classrooms.

Argh!

Thanks to the Patch and Nicole Rosenthal for bringing this to the attention of NJ Taxpayers.  I’ll be asking my various “representatives” for an explanation.  It can be my deciding issue when it comes time to vote.

I also plan to ask them what they have done to pressure the Federal Gooferment politicians and bureaucrats to end the Gaza humanitarian disaster.  Can’t push enough buttons.  Maybe the Election Day pain will get the message across?

Sigh!

I don’t know anyone involved in the accident which occurred this past March 6th, but my heart goes out to Dennis Frick, his wife, children, family & friends. Whether the driver of the Infinity was speeding or not, you will notice that the median is almost completely covered with dirt with grass now growing on it. Looking at a news video of the accident, you can see that the dirt is up to the height of the driver’s door. I phoned Officer Gliottone whose number was given at the bottom of the news article for anyone with any information. He told me that they are aware of the mound of dirt, which acted like a ramp, making the Infinity propel into oncoming traffic, landing on top of Dennis Frick’s pickup truck. He tells me that the family was made aware of this, and it has been reported before to the DOT (Department of Transportation), but nothing has been done about getting rid of this dirt mound against the median, rendering the median not only useless but a danger. He told me that if I file a complaint with the State DOT, it would be of great help to possibly get this taken care of before another accident occurs.

I then telephoned the State DOT, who in turn told me to call the Community Relations Office at 609-963-1982

Please, everyone, call them to make a complaint to get the median taken care of, and/or, you can write a complaint to “Community Relations Office, 1035 Parkway Ave., Ewing, N.J. 08618

I formulated a letter below that you can copy and paste to make it easier for you to file a complaint unless you want to formulate a letter of your own. I know it won’t bring Dennis Frick back, but we can possibly save other lives if we all stick together to try to get this deadly danger remedied. Thank you for your help!

RE: Median needs to be cleared on Route 1, New Brunswick, NJ, near the Goodkind Bridge

Dear Community Relations Office:

All medians need to be kept clear. Particularly at Route 1, New Brunswick location near Goodkind Bridge where fatal accident occurred 3/6/24. Dirt which has been allowed to accumulate over time, almost level with the top of the median, caused it to act as a ramp, which propelled the Infinity vehicle over the mound into oncoming traffic, landing on top of Dennis Frick’s pickup truck, killing him. The dirt needs to be dug out & removed immediately. Had median not been neglected, Dennis Frick may still be alive. PLEASE bring this matter to your immediate attention before any more lives are lost. Thank you!

Regards,

10 not-so-fun facts about Phil Murphy’s FY 2025 budget

February 27, 2024 Matt Rooney state budget

*** begin quote ***

  • Notwithstanding taxes rising again (see below), Murphy’s budget includes a $1.8 billion structural deficit and a $5 billion deficit over two years.
  • We were told that the corporate business tax surcharge had sunset, but Governor Murphy wants to retroactively tack a 2.5% tax (the “Corporate Transit Fee”) on state businesses effective January 1st. It’s a clear break with his Election 2021 promise to not raise taxes in his second term, and its purposed goal is to save NJ Transit from complete collapse. Good luck.

*** and ***

  • The StayNJ program – Election 2023’s big gimmick – is getting a relatively paltry $200 million infusion.
