A progressive district attorney has declined to charge a Tim Walz state employee allegedly caught causing $20,000 damage by vandalizing half a dozen Teslas — a decision ripped by the “frustrated” local police chief.

The suspected vandal, 33-year-old Minnesota government employee Dylan Bryan Adams, was allegedly spotted keying the vehicles and stripping their paint off while out walking his dog around the city.

Despite what police believe to be evidence of Adams committing felonies, Hennepin County District Attorney Mary Moriarty will seek diversion rather than criminal charges.

Sorry, but this is an example of selective justice.

Hopefully, a civil suit will find for punitive damages.

Maybe “We, The Sheeple” in Minnesota may have something to say about this travesty.

The DA should be fired and possibly disbarred for this miscarriage.  And, as a State employee, the citizens have a right to expect better conduct from their “employee”.

There’s a hard math behind the Los Angeles-area firestorm: When a two-story house is on fire under normal circumstances, three engines and a minimum of 16 crew members are generally dispatched.

He compared the situation to a firestorm that barreled through the Oakland hills in Northern California in 1991. In that case, an extinguished grass fire reignited in “Diablo” wind gusts — seasonal winds similar to the Santa Anas in L.A. — and the more than 1,500 firefighters who responded struggled with hydrants that went dry and navigation on steep, narrow roads.

The blaze killed 25 people, injured 150 and destroyed more than 3,300 structures.

Miller toured the area in 2014, after it was rebuilt.

“They have bigger houses on the same lot, with the same trees, with the same brush in the same location, with cars that are bigger,” Miller said. “No fire truck could come up if a big Suburban was coming down. … We’ve built bigger, but we didn’t build better.”

The firefighters he drove around the hills with, Miller said, offered a final assessment: “It’s going to go again.”

2014, houses burn down.  Build back bigger and better, 2025 houses burn down.

Now any rational human being would look at the incentives in 2014 and figure out what disincentives should be in place to prevent a 2036 disaster.

I can think of a few right off the top of my head:

  • Insurance companies don’t have to write policies for these houses.  No penalty for them when they don’t.  They can make any policies they want for these rebuilding projects.
  • Create special fire districts with the power to tax and to prep for the extreme fire occurences.  Roads may have to be extra wide and water retention facilities as needed.
  • Forest management zones may tax and burn as needed to prevent wildfires.
  • Arsonists get longer sentences with mandatory fire fight duties.
  • Wood frame houses are not permitted in the fire zones.  Concrete doesn’t burn.  May not look like an antebellum Southern plantation home, but it won’t burn like one either.
  • Shared risk pools for all houses built in the same fire zone.  (Seems obvious)

Let’s run contests with prizes for the various engineering schools to come up with more ideas.  Kind of like the concrete boats, paper airplanes, and other assorted challenges.

One problem: AT&T picked up their tech and moved out.  Big middle finger to the Comunists who think their diktats have power.  Nah, nah, de nah.  

Did the politicians and bureaucrats expect this?

More and more businesses are pushing back.  I cite PornHub’s departure from certain southern States.

Finally, Ma Bell grew a set.  Where were they when Judge Green and DOJ were breaking up the finest phone system in the world?  The casualties were Bell Labs, a million employees, and untold numbers of investors who lost their collective shirts.

Argh!

Time to squeeze Gooferment back in a very very small box.

It really only has a few limited Constitution duties  —  protect against external aggression, foreign relations, and keep the States from interfering in interstate commerce.

States have more lattitude, but no guarantee that they won’t do stupid <synonym for excrement> like this.

What’s next the Pepuls Republik of Nu Jerk “diktat” that AT&T phones can’t handle calls in NY?

Of course, we can assume we have only a slice of the whole truth, if recent history is our guide. The FBI has not been honest and forthcoming about many of its scandals and failures. To name but a few examples: FBI Director Christopher Wray has given false testimony to Congress about surveillance abuses. The FBI conspired with Democrats and the Hillary Clinton campaign to try to frame Donald Trump for Russia collusion. This included falsifying a document used to get a wiretap against a Trump campaign volunteer— a wiretap that gave the FBI access to Trump’s communications. The IG referred former FBI Director James Comey for criminal prosecution for his mishandling of information regarding President Trump, some of it classified, in his efforts to undermine Trump. (Unsurprisingly, the DOJ took a pass on the prosecution referral.) And the agency used armed SWAT teams to raid homes of cooperative, nonviolent January 6 suspects.

So it’s hard to take at face value anything the FBI may have admitted to in terms of numbers of agents or sources on site, and their supposed role.

I’m sure the low information “We, The Sheeple” have no idea that the “insurrection” was a Gooferment instigated false flag.

I’d hope that every agent and informant are put in front of a Grand Jury and asked some hard questions.  As always, convict the bottom of the conspiracy and they will roll on up.  The top tier should go to jail or worse.

Fines and pensions lost seems needed to go along with real jail terms.  No country club prisons for those convicted.

Argh!

Have to send a message to future politicians and bureaucrats about what happens when you betray the nation’s trust.

So, here we have the root of the problem  — the USPTO.  And, vultures use the USPTO flaw to extract wealth from the finances of companies.

Too expensive to fight so they just fold and pay,

Seems like the Gooferment needs to rebalance the scales of justice in this case.

When the USPTO invalidates a patent, it should charge the patent holder a fee for the wasted effort.

If the patent troll has several patents invalidated, the Federal District Attorney should review the facts for an abuse of process claim.

It’s only fair.

We could contrast this sort of impunity with what happens to regular people who commit far more benign infractions of federal law. For example, at about the same time James Comey was declaring that it was perfectly fine for Hillary Clinton to mis-use dozens of classified documents, a low-level Navy sailor, Kristian Saucier, was sentenced to six months house arrest for taking a few photos on board a US submarine.

Similarly, it has become routine for federal whistleblowers to serve time in prison while those who actually commit the crimes exposed by the whistleblowers face no punishment at all. Chelsea Manning is one such case, as is John Kiriakou who exposed the CIA’s illegal torture programs. Kiriakou is the only person connected with the CIA’s criminal conspiracy who has ever faced any legal sanction.

And, of course, there are the cases of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange. Snowden was forced to flee to Russia to avoid prosecution for telling the truth of the regime’s widespread violations of our basic property rights. Assange, who exposed various federal lies about war crimes in Iraq, finally escaped a federal prison cell only after the American state took its pound of flesh. The American intelligence “community” conspired for years—with the help of Trump, Biden, and Obama—to rob Assange of years of freedom while he holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy or fought extradition from a British prison.

It is not the business of the government to concern itself with the personal eating, drinking, or smoking habits of Americans; with the nature and quantity of any substance Americans inhale or otherwise take into their body; with restricting or monitoring any harmful or mood-altering substances that any American wants to consume; or with regulating the consumption, medical, or recreational habits of Americans.

Since the DEA is the main federal agency responsible for the drug war, it needs neither an administrator nor agents. The agency should be shuttered, completely and permanently.

Clearly there is no Federal authorization in the Constitution for this continued intrusion into the Rights of ordinary Americans and usurpation of individual States’ Rights.

The “(pseudo) War on (some) Drugs” has been a total disaster in so many dimensions.

(And confirm the point that Libertarians have been making for a long long time.)
