You have to examine the corrosive effects of Big Gooferment.

Lincoln, the Federal Reserve, the Income tax, FDR, gold confiscation, WW2 … …

did that destroy the family, the middle class, and the work ethic.

RANT: Lawrence Taylor — a sad pathetic image of a past idol

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

Imus roasted him yday. (Rightly so.)

His sidekick whined that Taylor was getting a raw deal.

They played a clip, where Taylor says: “Everybody does it.”

Nope, sorry, I don’t! I have to much respect for the role of women in human civilization.

All that being said, as a little L libertarian, being pro-choice on everything that doesn’t hurt another human being, prostitution could be a victimless crime. If, and only if, the Gooferment took it guns and went home.

Nevada has legal prostitution and you never ever hear anything about it. If Nevada, why not everywhere else.

Consenting adults. Harming no one else.

Just don’t ask me to pay for your problems that arise from it.

Pimps, public prostitution, disease, Johns, and a ton of police hours wasted on attempting to legislate morality and curb the “oldest profession”.

Only the Gooferment could be this stupid!

RANT: Appealing to the UN Commission on the Status of Women; what gigantic joke!

Holy See defends marriage, family life before UN commission on women
March 02, 2011

*** begin quote ***

The Holy See’s delegation defended marriage and family life and condemned discrimination against women during a February 28 meeting of the UN Economic and Social Council’s Commission on the Status of Women.

*** end quote ***

That’s a colossal waste of time. (Although Betty White’s language might be much more appropriate.)

India, Iran, Turkey, Syria?

Countries and religions well known for their poor treatment of women.

In recorded history, what civilization permits femicide — in all sorts of ways.

It’s contra-survival. It’s immoral. It’s cutting down on genetic diversity. It’s stupid. It’s seen in no other species.

It’s a path down a dead end street. Like abortion. Like the Shakers. It leads to extinction.

China has a problem because they have socially engineered their way into not having enough women. Good for them. They need a few social problems to work on.

Now, personally, as a little L libertarian, they can do whatever they want in their section of the world. The USA should be like Switzerland. Don’t ask us, we’re neutral. Everyone has to fight for the rights they want to preserve.

“Governments are instituted among men to secure these rights …”

But don’t plan to import your brand of craziness here. We have enough of our own nuttiness! Or haven’t you seen our post office, listen to our radio. or talk to our politicians?

Frankly, in the competitive world market, I’m glad when our competition ties half their population in mental bondage. Imagine if all those women were doing their thing we might have to worry. The phrase “if momma ain’t happy, no one is happy” comes to mind.

And, women have the power to change the world for peace if they ever decide to use it.

Permit me a quote:

*** begin quote ***

Miss Abigail: “No, Miss Marie, in our new world run by women, there will be no sex discrimination. We control the box.” With no hint of self- consciousness or shame.

Miss Marie: “Dear, that’s not a nice way to say it. And, box is very crude. I’m sorry I used it but I was … incensed that war should happen. Maybe you could say ‘we control the future generations’?”

Miss Abigail: “OK, but those balls will be blue before I let my man start another war.”

Knowing she’d done all she could, Marie said, “When this is all over, we should talk my dear. We should really talk. Now away with you. Carefully mind you.”

*** end quote ***

— a conversation between ‘Miss Marie’ and ‘Miss Abigail’ in CHURCH 10●19●62 Volume 1 Page 263

Yes, I squeezed every concept I believe in into my novel.

But, I truly believe every word I put into Miss Abigail. When women assume their proper station and role in the world, it will become a much more peaceful place.

RANT: I guess I don’t understand the “tablecloth” mentality

“I just hope, for their sake, that each husband goes home with the right table cloth!”

MY RESPONSE:

There are many things in this world that I just don’t understand. This is one of them. But as an American, I’m sure glad we get to compete with them. The phrase “half my brain tied behind me” comes to mind. When these societies “tie down their women”, it’s truly half their intellectual capital, half their energy, and half their “good ideas” going to waste. I’m not able to get inside a woman’s head, but why would you cooperate. Reminds me of the anti-war quote in CHURCH (*). Yeah, I know everything reminds me of something I wrote. fjohn

(*) “Yes, when we get out of here. We’re going to have to fix that. You know we control something that can get it done. Not the ballot box, but the other box. (A giant sucking sound as pure Miss Marie used that very rude idiom.) We can end war.” — character “Marie” being anti-war in CHURCH 10●19●62 Volume 1 Page 262

Saudi girl, 13, sentenced to 90 lashes after she took a mobile phone to school
By Mail Foreign Service
Last updated at 12:45 AM on 21st January 2010

*** begin quote ***

A 13-year-old Saudi schoolgirl is to be given 90 lashes in front of her classmates after she was caught with a mobile camera phone.

The girl, who has not been named, was also sentenced to two months in jail by a court in the eastern city of Jubail.

She had assaulted her headmistress after being caught with the gadget which is banned in girl schools, said Al-Watan, a Saudi newspaper. The kingdom’s use of such punishments has been widely condemned by human rights organisations. (snip) The punishment is harsher than tha (sic that) dished out to some robbers and looters. Saudi Arabia is the world’s leading country in the use of torture-by-flogging, public beheadings and publicly crucifying condemned prisoners.

*** end quote ***

This is shocking. It offends my sensibilities. And, I’m an ijineer!

Now I have run into children that I’d have liked to give lashes too, but never 90. Never even one. It’s just a brief idle daydream. Maybe for cell phone abuse.

No one has the right to inflict pain on anyone. Any child, no matter how annoying, no matter bad the transgression, no matter how … … how frustrating deserves to be treated this way.

Where are the women’s libers? Where are the politicians?

Gooferment only has ONE purpose: to protect its citizens and residents from aggression. In a primitive society, one step away from extinction, one can expect brutality to ensure compliance necessary for group survival. In an advanced civilization, brutality is inefficient and ineffective.

We, The People, need to instruct our Gooferment that (a) that’s unacceptable; and (b) they need to exert some moral pressure to help the bozos see the error of their ways. Perhaps, PNGing (Persona Non Grata) male Saudi Ambassadors until they send us a woman as an ambassador might get our point across.

No man can be free until all men are free?

RANT: We have some “yahoos” here?

Tuesday, August 18, 2009

*** begin quote ***

I was encouraged to learn that former President Jimmy Carter had decided to sever ties with the Southern Baptist Convention, after a lifetime in that denomination, because of its position that Eve was responsible for original sin, that wives must be subservient to their husbands, and that women were prohibited from serving as deacons, pastors, or chaplains in the military service. This is indeed an abomination and must be challenged at every opportunity. Bravo to Jimmy Carter for having the courage to speak the truth in love.

*** end quote ***

I’m thankful that the rest of the world keeps their women down. As one radio host used to say “with one hand tied behind my back”, these Yahoos manage to deprive themselves of a whole lot of human resource. Good for us! Then I read that we still have some of the same Yahoos here in country.

Wow!

How dumb?

Carrying a grudge from the beginning of time. Based on a book of unknown veracity. About a time when time began.

Reminds me of the movie about the primitive worshipping a Coke Bottle that fell out of a plane.

Makes as much sense.

Naked girls plow fields for rain
Thu Jul 23, 2009 4:35pm EDT

*** begin quote ***

PATNA, India (Reuters) – Farmers in an eastern Indian state have asked their unmarried daughters to plow parched fields naked in a bid to embarrass the weather gods to bring some badly needed monsoon rain, officials said on Thursday.

Witnesses said the naked girls in Bihar state plowed the fields and chanted ancient hymns after sunset to invoke the gods. They said elderly village women helped the girls drag the plows.

*** end quote ***

This struck me as “interesting” on several levels.

(And, no their are no NSFW pics. Like you need a news story to find those on the inet? Please, DMML!)

First, the simple child-like faith that “gods” can be “embarrassed”. If they weren’t embarrassed by our congress critters, then naked girls would be comic relief.

Second, what is there thinking in terms of cause and effect? I suspect some “dirty old man” came up with this idea. If I had the comic skills of Jay Leno, this would be funny.

Third, how about some education and science for these folks? Never mind some clean water and water storage projects. This is a gooferment failure. Guess the national and state governments like the current state of affairs.

Fourth, it’s really good for the USA that so many countries put their women in unproductive situations. It’s like going into a fight with half your brains tied in a sack.

Fifth, how do these women feel? Hard to imagine. Dumb? Like cattle? Unappreciated?

Now these folks should have the freedom to believe whatever they want. But I wonder how they got to this level of thinking.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. It’s our own thinking that kills and enslaves us.

GUN: Women’s rights

Former West Wing Actress Allison Janney Cheers Obama, Stumps for Abortion
by Steven Ertelt

March 13, 2009

*** begin quote ***

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — Actress Allison Janney, best known for her role in the television drama “West Wing,” is stumping for the pro-abortion group Emily’s List. In a fundraising email for the political group, Janney applauds the pro-abortion record of President Barack Obama and asks for donations to support his efforts.

“During the dark days of the last administration, millions of Americans watched Martin Sheen play an intelligent, compassionate president on The West Wing,” Janney says in the email LifeNews.com received. “Isn’t it exciting to have the real thing in Barack Obama?”

Despite his decisions to force taxpayers to pay for promoting and performing abortions in other nations and embryonic stem cell research, Janney claims, “President Obama has set us on a course to move our country in a more hopeful, positive direction.”

*** end quote ***

It’s a real shame. “Liberal” Hollywood types confuse play acting for the real thing.

I’m saddened. She’s a good actress. And, she certainly has the right to speak freely. I just wish she had the same degree of understanding of a very complex issue.

(1) I object to paying for that which I find morally reprehensible. I’m force to fund Obama’s abortion plans.

(2) It’s genocide! Death by government. We’re strangling the life out of the future. I’ve made the argument before what if we have aborted the cure for cancer, the next Steven Hawking, or the future Obama?

(3) Hollywood success doesn’t translate into policy expertise or even common sense. In this case, she equates “West Wing” with the new tyranny in the White House.

(4) Abortion is a policy, social, and personal DISASTER on so many levels. Be best if the gooferment just got out of the debate. And, let the people involved sort it out. Legislating it as a right is just morally wrong!

The George Bailey Effect
Posted: January 31, 2009
1:00 am Eastern
By Larry Burkett

Editor’s note: The late Larry Burkett, popular Christian financial counselor and author, penned this article in 1998. It is a compelling “response” to Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s recent statement that the economy benefits from “family planning.” Joseph Slife contributed to this column.

*** begin quote ***

As the preceding evidence demonstrates, abortion is not simply a matter of private conscience, but of public concern. Abortion-on-demand has effects that are rippling throughout our society and could even threaten our future liberties.

This is why abortion, even if all moral arguments are totally discounted, cannot be ignored in framing public policy. Simply writing off abortion as a “moral” or a “religious” issue is a short-sighted approach that fails to reckon its economic and demographic consequences.

We can’t undo the past, of course. We can’t undo the fact that we have had 35 million George Baileys, people never born, people whose lives were never allowed to touch other lives. Indeed they have left an “awful hole.” But for the sake of our nation’s economic future and national security, as well as its moral character, we must resolve to promote from this time forward an ethic that is pro-family and pro-children. Only then can America continue to have a wonderful life.

*** end quote ***

When Pelosi and the Obama Democrat “liberals” advnace the pro-abortion agenda, everyone has to think of the “George Bailey” effect.

Have we aborted the future of America?

Like a self-imposed genocide.

RANT: “Birth Control” is stimulus.

PELOSI SAYS BIRTH CONTROL WILL HELP ECONOMY
Sun Jan 25 2009 22:13:43 ET

*** begin quote ***

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi boldly defended a move to add birth control funding to the new economic “stimulus” package, claiming “contraception will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.”

*** and ***

PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children’s health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those – one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.

*** end quote ***

# – # – #

SOOOOOooooooo….

The “stimulus package” covers any social engineering that they want to do!

Get ready for more nonsense under that “cover”.

Here’s an insight into their “liberal” philosophy: “Humans are an expense”. Wonder when abortion, eugenics, and killing off the elderly come in? After all one way to control Medicare “costs” is to get rid of those expensive old “senior citizens”. But, oh year, they can vote. We need to pick on those that can’t!

GUNS: How did “victim disarmament” cause the Indian slaughter

How Gun Control Laws Contributed To the Mumbai Slaughter
Posted by Butler Shaffer at November 30, 2008 07:14 PM

*** begin quote ***

An interesting article, from October, 2005, provided by http://www.gunowners.org:

Gun Control And Self-defense Against Terrorism In India
by Abhijeet Singh
Colonial Roots of Gun-Control

I live in India and I am a proud firearm owner — but I am the exception not the norm, an odd situation in a country with a proud martial heritage and a long history of firearm innovation. This is not because the people of India are averse to gun ownership, but instead due to Draconian anti-gun legislation going back to colonial times.

*** end quote ***

I blogged about this when I first heard it.

It’s not “gun control”; it’s “victim disarmament”!

Interesting how Colonial Laws from one set of politicians are quickly “updated” by another set of politicians. They all fear an armed people.

Riots? The Korean grocers showed how to end mob rule very quickly.

Gun rights, aka the right to defend yourself, is actually also a “women’s rights” issue.

The Holocaust demonstrated what happens when scapegoats are unarmed.

British home invasions, when the homes are occupied, skyrocket with “victim disarmament”!

Apparently the Indian slaughter in Mumbai was pulled off by 10 criminals. Reports have armed police refusing to fire on them. And, the “crack commandos” were like the Keystone Kops. (Remember Columbine, where the “heroic” police encircled the school, until the criminals finished killing everyone and themselves?)

Remember how Israeli schools and daycare centers were targeted until armed grandparents started providing security. And, the last massacre was on a school trip where guns were not permitted.

Wake up folks! Criminals don’t obey laws. Kops are just gooferment bureaucrats who are there to clean up the bodies and fill out paperwork. Dial 911 and die.

Of interest was in the 2006 article, the Indian writer cited Gandhi, the Dali Lama, Lenin, and a slew of the DOWGs! Fascinating.

“Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest.” — Mahatma Gandhi (An Autobiography OR The story of my experiments with truth, by M.K. Gandhi, p.238)

“If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.” — The Dalai Lama, (May 15, 2001, The Seattle Times) speaking at the “Educating Heart Summit” in Portland, Oregon, when asked by a girl how to react when a shooter takes aim at a classmate

“A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie.” — Vladimir Ilyich Lenin

“I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.”— George Mason

From my cold dead hands … …

HERE’S ANOTHER STORY!

Mumbai’s Harsh Lesson on Gun Control
By Abhijeet Singh

*** begin quote ***

At the Jewish outreach centre, bystanders pelted the terrorists with stones in a vain attempt to ward off the attack, but had to retreat when the terrorists opened fire with automatic rifles. Our citizens were trying to ward off the terrorists with stones! I cannot think of a more extreme example of how helpless the government has rendered it’s own citizens. In the absence of guns, and thus incapable of offering any resistance, they were simply like lambs to the slaughter. On that fateful day, this was a story repeated again and again all over Mumbai: unarmed civilians, slow & inept emergency services, and mindless slaughter of innocents.

But we live in a democracy; hence at the end of the day it is each one of us who is to blame. It is we the people who must ask our representatives hard questions; it is we who must bring the right to bear arms to the forefront of the political agenda. We have the power to effect change through our votes and with elections just a few months away, let us not forget the lessons of Mumbai, let us not forget those that lost their lives there, many of who could have been saved if just a few of us were armed.
