Uh, how does one retrieve the files once they are backed up? I can't find a path anywhere, I find a folder with my site name, but nothing appears to be in it. I can't find the files, and I need to retrieve a couple of thousand backed-up (I hope they are backed up) photos asap. I have projects I cannot complete with the photos . . .

These little external drives are pretty, but I'm thus far unimpressed with how they work (or don't work). Any help would be appreciated.

I have just downloaded WDSync_v6_3_128.exe and tried to use it. (I had been copying everything I cared about, but it takes so long to recopy picture, music etc. that has NOT changed!) So, I want a reliable tool to copy only what's changed, right?

First, it takes FOREVER to configure the dang thing (on a 1.8GHz Pentium IV), as I select most but not all folders on two (logical) drives, all the while it is frozen as it works ... no status bar, no nothing. When finally done, with configuration, I proceed to the next step, where all is silent for a long time, then it crashes "Do you want to tell Microsoft?" -- then, presumably, we can have TWO firms unconcerned about the problem!)

I'm puzzled by the poor ergonomics of such products .. as though these give-away products (it came with my WD Passport drive) are assigned to the rawest programming recruits, without experience in interfaces, testing, error handling, or prerformance tuning!

It's just crappy. :^((
